Hello Game Topper Nation!

Josiah here with an update regarding the Pledge Manager (BackerKit). We have been working hard the last couple weeks to get everything setup and we are ready for the final step before surveys go out to all backers. That step is called a Smoke Test, where about 5% of the surveys will be sent out ahead of time, just in case there are any issues that need fixing.

What that means is a small number of you should receive your survey as soon as this evening! We will let that go over the weekend and then on Monday December 11th we will send out all of the remaining surveys.

Keep your eyes on your inboxes! The quicker the surveys are completed, the sooner we will be able to begin fulfillment. This is especially important for any of the Early Bird Pledge levels or stretch goals we unlocked as we need all of the data to get your pledges out to you.

We anticipate it will take a couple of weeks to get most of the surveys completed to the point we can begin our fulfillment, but hopefully you can help us do better by getting them submitted!

UK, EU & Beyond Shipping:

If you are a backer in the UK or EU, we had initially planned to collect shipping for those pledge in May-June right before fulfillment to get the most accurate shipping charges. However this was not possible as we would have had to collect the shipping for ALL pledges at the same time. Since we would have had to do that in just a couple weeks as fulfillment begins for US and Canada that did not make sense.

So currently shipping for UK and EU pledges is set to be collected right away. However, we will also be double checking and revaluating in May-June in case there are any adjustments that need to be made. While I believe it is rather unlikely for the shipping to change, we wanted to make sure you all understand how the process will work.

If you are a backer who is not in one of our listed fulfillment regions we will need to review your pledges manually and get you a custom shipping quote for your pledge. I know several of you have reached out to me already, once your surveys are completed just send me an email ([email protected]) and I will get that taken care of for you.

Conclusion:

Thank you all for a wonderful campaign! We look forward to getting this fulfilled at lightning speed! As we move into next year we will continue to provide more fulfillment updates to keep you all updated on the progress.

 Greetings Game Topper Nation!

Thank you all for your support! 895 backers, over 50 awesome stretch goal savings and quite an exciting last 2 days. 

I’m at Pax unplugged in Philadelpia, but wanted to give a quick update.

I've had several questions about when the surveys will be sent out.

Generally, it takes most companies a month or more to launch them, but Josiah is working overtime on getting the pledge manager survey prepared.

He does a really nice job making it very easy to navigate and select all the add ons and styles of units you want. 

He hopes to have what Backerkit calls a ”smoke test” ready around Dec 10th. That ussually takes about two days to get the result of this small sampling of surveys to see if anything needs adjustment. 

Once that has been evaluated the rest of the surveys will go out to everyone. 

To recieve the early bird stretch goals it is important to fill out your surveys ASAP.

We will send out an update just before we send them out with instructions and any clarifications that will be helpful.

If you could please wait till then to ask any how and when questions till then so we can focus and getting this done would be helpful. 

It a large task with all the packages, bundles, stretch goals and getting the shipping tables correct. I think you will like the results.

Last Day!!! One final big push to 250K 11-27-23

Greetings Game Topper Nation!

It's been a long campaign, but it's nearly completed. Tonight at midnight it ends.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for all of you that have been so supportive and enthusiastic about this project and all the great gaming upgrades we offered on this campaign. 

Over 20 new items, early Jan fulfillment, and over 50 unlocked Stretch Goals !! 

It's a bit mind boggling all the versatility the Game Topper System really is. So much cool stuff! This dream of creating a portable game table that converts your home table into a high quality gaming solution became a reality in 2017 and has turned into so much more thanks to your continued support. We hope to continue to improve on what we have done and provide the excellent service you have come to know from us. 

There are still some exciting Stretch Goals with significant savings that still need to be unlocked. We are so close to breaking 225K and I think we have a good chance of 250K! 

Our warehouse is bursting at the seams and we are preparing the pledge manager to launch within the next 2 weeks so you can fill out your surveys and we can start the fulfillment process.

Here are a few of the pics I promised you. We just unloaded a full 40ft H container and 2 more on the way. 5000sq  jammed packed!

I will be a Pax Unplugged In Philadelphia with Joseph our warehouse manager. We have a large 20 x 30 booth in the First Look Area just outside of the Exhibitor hall. I will have the new Designer Art Series Mycroft Topper and The Young Sherlock Movable Coffee/Children's table on display as well as some of the new mats for viewing.

Greetings Game Topper Nation!

I had intended on posting an update sooner, but fell Ill. I'm kinda back. I did a Live Q & A with Grant Lyon that is available for you to view. He was a little under the weather too, but as they say in show business, the show must go on. Meet the congestion brothers! It was fun, and we announced the new milestone goals!

Those of you that know me, know I'm not a polished wordsmith, I like to share from the heart and be ok with being transparent. Well, welcome to mid campaign.  This is not our first rodeo, and it is very common for there to be some lulls and movement up and down, but I don't want that to discourage anyone, this is normal. We have a ton of exciting stuff still ahead, and I expect we will see renewed momentum. I would love for us to hit 500,000. Grant said, if we hit 1,000,000 he will deliver your topper to your door and do a 10 min comedy bit for a private audience. Donors welcome lol. I'd love that, but I think he is safe.  I think we are heading for around 250,000-300,000. This is due to the fact that we have so many items that are al carte' for add-ons in the pledge manger that do not factor into the overall success number you see. I'm saying this to let everyone know we are still hopeful and we are trying to make attainable goals to push through these milestones. 

Speaking of Milestones!!!

This is the coolest ever! It's a 3" inch solid chunky fun! from Goliath Coins. Our way of saying thank you to our backers. 

Plus at 175,000, we are going to unlock the White Terrain mat in Watson, Holmes and Mycroft sizes. We have modified to have more snow ice bluish tints. We are going to call it our "Snow" mat

I need your help with some feed back please...

We’ve had people ask about making rail pads. I’ve spoken to my mat manufacture and we can make a premium 3“ x 24“ stitched edge pad. I can make these in packs of four.  I tested this out with an older thinner material and it actually held pretty good, but when I used our 3 mm premium stitched edge, it held in place extremely well, and not moving when I put my arms on it.

I was concerned that maybe the stitch edge would be uncomfortable however, you don’t feel that at all. I also think that’s an important feature so that this will not fray.

As winters approaching, the metal can be cool. This is never been a major complaint that I’ve heard, but a few people are mentioning it now and I’m trying to see if I can provide an option.

Of course these would be the 3.6 mm premium stitched  rounded edge version.

So let’s say we did this as a 4 pack.

I’m thinking I could do it in our Steel Grey or Crimson Red, which I think would look really nice as a contrast to the black metal. 

What do you think about those colors? or maybe black or the designer art from Brent Woodside?

...And what would a four pack of these be worth?

I need to see if it’s a high demand item and what its value is, and if I can pull it off.

I need a Game Topper Nation to give me their wisdom??
